Please read below: Important Class Information

Range Fees: typically run from $0 to $20. Minnesota requires that each student perform a "live fire" exercise as part of this course. Range fees are controlled by the range, not me. Not every class requires a range fee, it just depends on the class and where we shoot. That being said, please be prepared to to pay a range fee when you attend class.


Classes held at Bill's Gun Shop and Range in Robbinsdale: we will start shooting at the range at the listed time on the class schedule (usually 1:45 pm). Please come a little early if possible to take care of paper work, but please do not be late! Call if you are going to be late at all. If we do not hear from you, we will leave Bill's after everyone has finished and head to the classroom location in Bloomington (I will give you directions at the range). Basically its 494 and 35W. If you are late, the whole class is late because of you and will be upset! I am usually there at least an hour before the class to answer questions, offer help, and start qualifying people who came early.

So that we can be respectful of everyone's time, please arrive to class on time or best before! Check our class schedule page the night before class to verify the time and location.

• Please print the map from the Directions page for your class location, Mapquest, Google and GPS don't always work well for some of the locations we use.
  
• Shooting qualification will be up to 15 shots @ up to 15 feet at a body size target. Bring new Factory ammo, NO Reloads! I no longer will allow single action guns for qualification. Use mine if you need. They slow things up too much at the range I am sorry, takes twice as long to qualify with them.
  
• Bring eye and ear protection or Bill's has protection for you to use. (Wall-Mart has foam plugs and clear glasses real cheap).

I do everything I can to keep the cost of this course down and pass it on to you. I am highly trained, especially in defensive shooting, and have a lot to pass on to you. Thank you for choosing me.

Classes: $65 regular, $55 renewals, veterans, and women. Husband and wife combo multi-state $75, No refunds, just need to take a class from me at some time.

Northern Minnesota: Starting spring 2013, Plane Cents will be holding classes in Akeley, Minnesota. We have a brand new building and both 50 and 100 yard ranges. Keep checking for dates. I have not forgotten about you guys up in Northern Minnesota, you deserve a less expensive class also. Bemidji, Walker, Park Rapids, St. Cloud, Detroit Lakes, Itasca, Duluth, Silver Bay, other Northern Minnesota cities can now take advantage of our low pricing!

We do a lot of private CCW classes; they can be at your place or reserve my location. This allows you and your close friends to have a special class tailored to you wants and needs. I I am a documented and qualified trainer with the IALEFI. International association of law enforcement firearms instructors. I host regional training conferences for Law enforcement agencies. Don’t be afraid to ask your potential trainer what qualifies them to teach you?

No Guns, No Ammo, no problem. If you need we will supply our ammo and guns for qualifying free of charge.

We can accommodate you for a private class one or two people just about any hour of the day or night. This works well for people who have odd work schedules or busy life styles. If you need a private class in the middle of the night I can accommodate you.

NO Loaded firearms or live ammunition is allowed in the classroom! Keep your firearms stored until the range portion of the course. Know the FOUR fundamental rules for gun safety prior to attending this class:

• KEEP the firearm pointed in safe direction;
• KEEP your finger off the trigger until told to fire;
• KEEP your firearm unloaded until you are ready to use it;
• KNOW your target and what’s beyond.

Joe,
Thanks for the class and the instruction using my PPK on Sunday. And, by the way, you friggin' blew me away with your fast draw and accurate shot placement. I was a shooter in the army and was never trained with a pistol (well not very well anyway), and I think the times are dictating that I become as proficient with a pistol as I am with a rifle.
